The Best Alternatives to Driving

A personal list of the best alternatives to driving

I'm just going to go over something that has probably been covered elsewhere a lot, but I'm going to go over some of the best alternatives to driving. It is a little bit of common sense, but these are tried and true methods. They lower pollution, your carbon footprint and some even give you spare time to do other things while you're along for the ride! Without any further ado, lets hop right into this topic!

The first method I'm going to mention works perfectly for big cities and is easily one of my favorites. Taking the bus easily one of the best alternatives to driving and it gives you plenty of free time during the trip. I personally use this since it's available in my area and it takes me everywhere I need to go. I also write most of my articles on the bus too since it gives me that spare time. There's plenty of ways to check if your area has public transportation or you might have already seen the buses in your area! They lower the amount of cars spitting out exhaust and a lot of them are hybrid engine buses or electric streetcars!

The next one of the best alternatives to driving is the good old bicycle. This one is perfect for people that are mindful of their health or looking for a way to add another workout into their busy schedule. It's perfect for the summertime, but when you're in the winter you're seriously going to want to look into buses or the next option for the best alternatives to driving I'll be mentioning.

The last option I want to mention it's one that's less common nowadays. This option is carpooling and has basically the same concept behind it as public transportation does. It lowers the amount of cars on the roads and at the same time gives you co workers or friends to make the trip more bearable and enjoyable. Usually vans are thought of when you think of carpooling but about any vehicle can be used for carpooling and it will save gas in the long run too!
